HELLO!!!

Wow! I think I have not been very good at keeping this up. I think it is because my life is not very exciting. I am just glad that I can still get to work most days and get my work done to the best of my ability. I can still pay my bills, even if I have to ration them out on occasion. I recently bought 4 new tires, so I hope I will be able to get to work on snowy days. PLEASE PLEASE be a dry winter, with snow only on weekends. Pleassssse!

Hi!

I am still here.I am now worried about how I am going to continue paying my mortgage after October, especially if I retire. I really want to, you do not know how badly I want too! I can still afford to put some more money into escrow for about 5 more months worth of payments. but then it is anybodies guess!

Yikes

I had a startling experience yesterday. I had called in sick at about 2:30 A.M. yesterday. I felt awful. I got up again somewhere around 8:30 or so. Around 9:00 I heard a loud bang, but didn't think anything about it. The dog started barking, but she barks at everything. Then I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and a neighbor told me that a car had gone into my garage. I looked out side and my backyard fence was flattened and there was a red mini van sticking out of the side of my garage. My car was thrown halfway across the garage with a big dent on the side of the car, all my storage shelves were thrown all over and the cinder block wall had a big part of the wall missing! Needless to say I did not have a good day. The funny thing is, The name of the driver and her husband was Sorensen! No one was hurt, but I have a Big headache! I hope my car isn't totaled! They are responsible for all the damages. The Husband said they had $50,000 of personal property coverage. There insurance will have to pay for the entire amount. It is, however going to be a huge inconvenience!

Easter

Hi! It is Easter season again. I have been thinking about our Savior and what His atonement means to me. It is hard to comprehend, and I often find that I simply do not understand it at all. It takes a lot of faith just to get up in the morning (oops I mean in the middle of the night) and make myself go to work. I wonder if it worth the bother. My life consists of work, drag myself home, feed the dog and myself, get to bed in the daylight so I can do it all over again the next day. I hope there is some reward in the end. I wish that I could not be so hard on myself and not take things so seriously. I expect to do everything right so that no one can ever criticize me. I take every failure to rise to expectations of others as a complete disaster. I don't even know what I am expected to do, but I feel like my attempts to do every thing right is just not good enough. This is a struggle every day of my life. The fact the I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true is sometimes the only thing I can hang on to. So hallelujah He is Risen!

Same old, same old

Well another month almost over. It is a usual blah Feb. But it sure beats Jan. Lots of lettuce etc. to cut. Still getting up at 3:30. I am still hating it. Cheer up in just3 weeks (March 13) we can go back to daylight savings time. This means that I can go back to getting up at 2:30 and waiting for three hours after I get to work before the sun is even up. Oh joy.

spuds and celery

HELLO! Well fall is here again. It is my favorite time of the year. Unfortunately winter is my least favorite time of the year. Last week was homecoming, and apparently everyone wanted potatoes. 1200# worth. All but 100# were wedged red potatoes. On each of three days I had to wedge (cut with a machine) 10 buckets worth. This is a pain in the you know where. The hardest part finding the buckets and the lids to fit the buckets. We recycle plastic buckets & lids from bulk things like 30# butter buckets or cherry pie filling etc. The buckets come from different companies, thus each bucket has a different lid. They are not necessarily interchangeable. This turns out to be a really fun game of match up. It is a back killer also. lifting 50# boxes so not fun! This week it was celery sticks to cut, cases and cases of them. It has to be the most tedious job in the whole place. I have no idea how much a case weighs, but it has to be at least the same as potatoes, and the boxes are a lot bigger, thus more awkward to move. Besides that the area where we cut them is in the coldest part of the room. It is right in front of the refrigerator compressor (that is I am facing a table and the compressor is blowing on my neck the whole time)! i have also had many cases of green onions to trim. and then slice in the machine. It is a good thing that onions do not bother me! I do not cry. Get me out of there.

Hello

Hi! I am still here. I am feeling better than I have for awhile. Prozac is a miracle! The other antidepressant was not working. I had been taking it for years, I don't think it was helping much at all, ever. I am loosing weight. The doctor said it was aside effect of the pill. I actually feel like I can cope most days. It probably does not hurt that I am trying to go to bed at 8:00 p.m. either.

I am still here. Life is a struggle for me now. I know I should be thankful for what I have now, and to a certain extent I am, but my work is getting to me in a big way. I miss all of you also, and wish I had kept better contact with you. I am excited to see Alfs' Boy & Linc. on Friday. Be safe getting here!

Hi!

I guess I will post something, albeit brief. I have a few words that I like. LOLLYGAG, BROUHAHA, LOQUACIOUS, BODACIOUS, IMPERVIOUS, YUMMY, CHOCOLATE, ICE CREAM, CAKE, FROSTING, BEEF, PORK, LACKADAISICAL, FUNNY.I have been busy at work, and not very happy with work, especially the boss(es) & the politics of the place. I went to Doctors a few weeks ago. Blood sugar, electrolytes, Thyroid all normal. Only thing, why am I in so much pain most of the time, and why am I so blue. Dr. is changing my meds for depression. It seem that the ones I have been taking are not working. I do not feel that they ever have. Trying Prozac now. Cannot tell if it is working yet. Job requires that we will start working at 5 in the morning starting June 1. The will probably be deciding factor in retirement decision. YES, YES YES. I can officially on Jan first 2011. Probably will.

Lettuce

Hi everyone. When I saw the date on my last post I was surprised! I didn't realize that it had been so long since I posted here. Oops! I titled this lettuce because that is what I do most days. We cut lettuce almost everyday at work. We cut into wedges and send it into the machine. The machine shreds it or cuts it and sends it on its way. At the end of the line another machine spins it dry, then another machine (me or some other human) bags it into bags and someone else seals it into the bag. This takes any where from an hour to 5 hours, depending on how much lettuce there is. I have been a lettuce fan and now I am really not one. ICK!I don't really mind my job too much except for the 6 a.m. starting time, the lifting of 50 or 60# boxes of food, the 41 degree room we work in or the constant water everywhere ( and the water is cold). That is what my days are like. Now I get to do it 6 days a week. Oh goody! Maybe now I can come in later, because I can still only work 40 hrs. If I had my way I would like to work only 20 hours. Antway that is what is happening in my world.

Where are you?

Merry Christmas everyone. Even Marbles sister. I have been blocked from your blog. I hope I haven't offended you in anyway. I need an invite to get into it. I saw it earlier today, so something went haywire somewhere today. I have had a good holiday. I tried to call Mom, but so far she hasn't answered the phone. All is well here. I feel like a rejected family member today. I certainly hope that is not the case. I had dinner with DH brother and his wife. it was a pleasant few hours.

Sigh!

Surprise! I am writing on this blog. I have done a lot of thinking and reflecting on things lately. I often wonder if all there is in life is to go to work, come home, collapse from exhaustion. Go to sleep. Start all over again. It seems that that is about all my has been so far. Today someone did me a kindness and I just about cried. my manager helped me by getting me a chair and helping me be seated at a Christmas Pot Luck that we had at work today. I thought "What a gentleman" Then I realized how often I have been given such a kindness at work especially, but also generally. I wondered why I have had such a hard time with bosses in my working life! In my private life and social life. It made me sad to realize how I had been treated. I wondered if it was my fault or someone elses. I thought I deserve respect. I am so thankful to big bro and his son who shoveled my driveway last Saturday. And son also went to the mail box down the street and got my mail for me. I appreciate such kindnesses!

I am not to happy about this. My history of success in "production" jobs is dismal. Just as the weather is getting cold, we start working in the refrigerator. But what worries me the most is getting to work on time, and only having access to the bathroom when we all get a break, I am thinking I might have to wear Depends at work. I have to get a bunch of long sleeve shirts because it might be cold. I think it will be better than boiling hot all day! Pray for me, Please? I need too make it for 15-18 months until I can retire!

It's About Time!

I am going to play the name game: then I will update on what I am doing. I hope I have figured out how to make a list.We will see if it works.

I have been very busy lately. I am so tired when I get home that instead of tackling my "to do" list I end up sleeping. I went to Wally world and did some shopping for groceries on the 4Th of July. This is the 2Nd time I have shopped for groceries there. I am sold. I have been spending over $100.00 every week. I can get a bigger selection of items for less money. &60.00 last week, for the same amount or even more than before, Yippee.
